Redhawk

There I am, larger than life, a myth created by others.

Looming tall, taller still, an icon of strength,

Made so by the belief of many. A story made real by the

Needs of those around me, a pattern that breathes

And then becomes me. I ride her shadow, knowing not

Whether I should step into her, exhale, inhale, draw

The very life of her into my soul and let them merge. One

Being, Amazonian, bringer of wisdom and peace,

Bearer from the dawn of time, with answers ready and

Arms outstretched, keeper, lover, leaper of flames.

If it is she who lives in their eyes, what then is left of me?
